Within the framework of the EU-funded project “Democracy and Human Rights Education in Adult Learning”, the conference gathered 230 people from 37 European countries to discuss the subject of civic education. The conference had three main purposes: 1) To offer an opportunity for further networking, 2) To offer professionals further education and trainings adequate and fitting to the diverse approaches and structures of NGOs in the field of EDC/HRE, and 3) To enable DARE to be a forum for discussion between scholars, practitioners and policy makers.
